2027 CPL Theory Scholarships & Bursaries
Four supported places will be available for aspiring commercial pilots joining Aviation Theory Australia’s February 2027 CPL theory intake.
Applications are expected to open in November 2026.
Supporting the Next Generation of Commercial Pilots
Aviation Theory Australia will offer four supported places in our February 2027 Commercial Pilot Licence theory course.
The program will include one scholarship and one bursary for fixed-wing students, together with one scholarship and one bursary for helicopter students.
These opportunities are being created for aspiring commercial pilots who are serious about their aviation careers and ready to commit fully to their CPL theory studies.
Full application details, eligibility requirements and selection criteria will be released when applications open in November 2026.

One applicant will receive a fully funded place in Aviation Theory Australia’s complete Fixed-Wing CPL Theory course for the February 2027 intake.

Who Will Be Encouraged to Apply?
The scholarships and bursaries will be intended for aspiring commercial pilots who can demonstrate genuine commitment, realistic aviation goals and a willingness to put in the work required to succeed.
Applicants will be encouraged to demonstrate:
- A genuine commitment to pursuing a professional aviation career
- Clear and realistic fixed-wing or helicopter career goals
- A strong work ethic and readiness to undertake CPL theory
- Evidence of effort, preparation or previous aviation involvement
- A willingness to participate actively in the course
- Circumstances where financial support would make a meaningful difference
- The ability to attend and complete the February 2027 course
Selection will not be based on flight hours alone.
Aviation Theory Australia will be looking for applicants who are ready to make full use of the opportunity and contribute positively to the broader student cohort.
